Organize the pages of a PDF

To organize the pages of a PDF with FontiaPDF, open it and press “Pages”: you get a thumbnail of every page with buttons to rotate, delete or duplicate it, and you can drag thumbnails to change the order. Rotating and deleting are free; reordering, duplicating and extracting pages into a new PDF are Premium features.

It all happens in the same editor where you change the text, so you can fix a document and put its pages in order in a single download.

How to organize PDF pages in 3 steps

  1. Open the pages panel

    Load the PDF and press “Pages” in the top bar; on a phone it is under “⋯ More”.

  2. Rotate, delete or reorder

    Each thumbnail has buttons to turn it left or right and to delete it. If the page has edits, the editor asks you to confirm first. With Premium, drag it to move it or duplicate it.

  3. Download or extract

    Download the full PDF with your changes. To keep only some pages (Premium), turn on selection, tick them and press “Extract selection”.

What’s preserved and what isn’t

Preserved

  • The content of every page: rotating or moving a page doesn’t alter its text or images.
  • Your edits travel with their page: move, rotate or duplicate it and the text you changed stays where it was on that page.
  • Extracting creates a new PDF with the pages you picked; the document you are editing doesn’t change.

Limits

  • You can’t merge several PDFs into one or insert blank pages.
  • Pages rotate in 90-degree steps.
  • You can’t delete the only page of a document.
  • Each extraction produces one file; the PDF isn’t split into several files automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Can I delete pages from a PDF for free?

Yes. Deleting and rotating pages are free and are applied when you download the PDF, within the free plan’s 20 exports a day.

How do I extract just a few pages?

With Premium: in the pages panel, turn on selection (☑), tick the pages you want and press “Extract selection”. You get a new PDF with only those pages.

Can I merge two PDFs?

No. FontiaPDF works on one document at a time and doesn’t combine files.

What happens to my edits if I move a page?

They go with the page: move it, rotate it or duplicate it, and the edited text stays in the same spot on that page.
